[Blogger] Post delivered but the link is missing

The problem

We have had a handful of reports of users seeing posts delivered to Twitter with no link present.

We have traced this to an issue where Blogger/Blogspot is using PuSH to deliver item content that does not contain a link URL.

When this happens, dlvr.it processes the feed normally, however there is no URL for us to shorten for inclusion into the post.

We have reported the issue to Blogger, but have no estimate of when a fix might be available from them.

Until Blogger fixes this issue on their end, dlvr.it will not subscribe to PuSH (pubsubhubbub) updates from blogger.com / blogspot feeds. We will continue to retrieve and update Blogger / Blogspot feeds, but we will not be receiving PuSH updates from these feeds.

Feedburner Users

If your Blogger feed is being hosted on Feedburner, you may still experience this issue because Feedburner is proxying the bad Blogger/Blogspot updates to dlvr.it.  Disabling PuSH in Feedburner is not be a guaranteed solution.  Since Feedburner updates its version of the feed using the information it receives from Blogger's PuSH updates, we have seen instances where the feed we retrieve from Feedburner exhibits the same issue as if it was PuSHed to dlvr.it.

The only guaranteed solution in this instance is to use your original Blog RSS feed in dlvr.it, and disable the Blogger/Blogspot Feedburner integration.

Disable PuSH updates

You can also instruct dlvr.it to unsubscribe from your feed's PuSH hub:
